Chicago Underground
Weekly Preview: Chicago with only one home game this week looks to keep unbeaten in the Mid-West Old Tyme Hockey League.
Saint Clair Shores Saints @ Chicago Underground In a game in which 38 Penalty minutes (All minors) including an illegal stick was called by the referee Chicago just couldn’t put the biscuit in the basket more than the Saints of St. Clair Shores.

Final Score: St. Clair Shores 6 – Chicago 4

Labatts Three Star Selection:
Star #1 – Bob Kelly 2 Goals – 3 Points
Star #2 – Wayne Babych 1 Goal – 2 Points
Star #3 – Steve Christoff 1 Goal

Giles Gilbert had 36 Saves for St. Clair Shores.
Game Winning Goal scored by Bob Kelly

Weekly Summary: Chicago hopes their road trip is much better than what happened at home this week.
Saskatoon Cyclone
Weekly Preview: Three games this week in the tundra of Saskatoon as they face Brooklyn, Silk City and Syracuse.
Brooklyn Harbor Rats @ Saskatoon Cyclone An absolutely bonkers wild game that had Brooklyn up 2-1 after one, Saskatoon up 4-2 after two and then some wonky goaltending took over on both sides with five goals in the last 8 minutes of the 3rd period.

Paul Reinhart scored at the 12:00 mark of the 3rd to bring Brooklyn within 1, but Merlin Malinowski erased that with a goal of his own at 16:20 on the power play. Less than a minute later though Mike Gartner netted his 2nd of the night on the power play to bring things back to within 1 and set the stage for a fiery finish.

With the goalie pulled, the Harbor Rats blitzed Saskatoon goalie Reggie Lemelin. Lemelin made a few fine saves but then the extra man found some open room and set up defenceman Behn Wilson who rifled it top shelf into the Saskatoon net to tie it up with one 38 seconds to go.

Arghhhh.

Saskatoon’s hopes for two points dwindled with the imminent tie, but it was not to be. Brooklyn won the faceoff and marched into the Saskatoon end with thoughts of stealing two. That Wilson guy again fired a slapshot that was blocked by defenceman Rick Green who immediately started the breakout with a pass up to Jacques Richard. Richard dashed up the left wing and fed the puck cross ice to Dino Ciccarelli who kind of flubbed his shot that instead found itself on the stick of Malinowski who tipped it past the stunned Brooklyn keeper to give the Cyclone the crazy W.

GAME STARS:
1. SAS, Richard (2 G, 2 A)
2. SAS, Malinowski (2 G, 1 A)
3. BRO, Gartner (2 G, 1 A)

Silk City Wales @ Saskatoon Cyclone This game was a tale of two goaltenders.

One playing really well – Bob Sauve of Silk City – and another playing like he was coming off a two-week bender – Reggie Lemelin.

Lemelin lasted all of just 19 minutes in the game allowing three goals on nine shots. Putrid or what? Rogie Vachon played his old French Canadian ass off and allowed just one goal on 15 shots, but the hometown boys couldn’t recover from the Lemelin factor and fell 5-2 to a much better playing team.

Joel Quenneville opened the scoring though for the one bright spot for Saskatoon with a short-handed breakaway goal 7-1/2 minutes into the game.

That only seemed to piss off the Whales though as they rattled off four goals – Kehoe, Johnson, Nachbaur, and Sutter before Gaston Gingras got one back at 5:38 of the 3rd to bring Saskatoon within 2.

Dave Langevin put the nail in the coffin though scoring an empty netter with 13 seconds left and that was it. Key in the game was giving up seven power plays to Silk City as opposed to getting only three chances for the Cyclone. Gretzky was a non-factor in this one spending much of the game on the penalty kill and followed up his one-assist performance in the previous game with nothing this one. What a bum.

Oh well.

STARS:
1. SCW, Sutter (1 G, 1 A)
2. SCW, Nachbaur (1 G, 1 A)
3. SCW, Langevin (1 G)

… a fine choice for 3rd star by the stupid software giving it to a guy that only played 10 minutes in the game but scored an empty net goal. Egads.

Syracuse Bulldogs @ Saskatoon Cyclone This game was a lot like the Pit and the Pendulum.

The first period had the pendulum swing the way of the Cyclone who outshot the Bulldogs 20-9 by the midway mark of the 2nd period. The pendulum then swung the way of Tim Young and the Bulldogs and knocked the Cyclone into the pit as they fell 3-2.

Mr. Young had a not bad night for Syracuse scoring all three goals with the last coming on a power play at 7:44 of the 3rd period.

The slumping Gretzky managed a single lowly assist in the game on a goal by Dave Taylor.

GAME STARS:
1. Tim Young
2. Tim Young
3. Tim Young

Weekly Summary: A far cry from the great opening week of the season as the Cyclone stumble at home barely winning the first game in the dying seconds and then proceeding to flounder and lose to Silk City and Syracuse.

Fingers in Saskatoon are already starting to point and a lot of them are directed at Darcy Rota who instead of being inspired by being one the top line with Gretzky and Taylor has just one assist in seven games and may be dragging them down.

A trade maybeeeeeee???

Syracuse Bulldogs
Weekly Preview: Syracuse only play one home game this week. They take on rival New Castle
New Castle Ducks @ Syracuse Bulldogs The Dogs win a close one 3-2
Stars#1 Johnstone 1G 2pts

Weekly Summary: The Bulldogs handle their business winning their only game
Philadelphia Firebirds
Weekly Preview: Philly has two tough teams Columbus and Brooklyn coming to town. After making a big trade they look to see what type of team they have.
Columbus Owls @ Philadelphia Firebirds The Owls come out flying with Jim Fox putting them on top 1-0 on the pp as they outshot the Firebirds 10-2 to open the game. Randy Carlyle from Dionne and Maruk make it 1-1 and the Wayne Merrick beats Beaupre on the breakaway and the Owls take period one 2-1
The Firebirds open the second with a blast from Van Boxmeer as he puts in his first from Dionne and Carlyle. Two minutes later Langway blasts one from Tonelli and ties it up but with 1.8 seconds left in the second John Ogrodnick beats Beaupre for his 3rd
#rd period saw John ” Im glad to be out of Chicago” Tonelli put in his second and his first Firebird Goal. Putting the Firebirds up by one. The Owls are hit with a too many men on the ice penalty and Tony McKegney makes them pay with his 1st. Lee Fogolin pulls the Owls within one with his first but its too little to late . Peter Lee hits an EN to put theame awayCarlyle/Boxmeer/ TonelliFIREBIRDS 6 OWLS 4
Brooklyn Harbor Rats @ Philadelphia Firebirds 1st- Harris opens the game putting in his own rebound (3rd). But Peter Lee comes right back to tie it up with his first. Then 119yo Dave Keon beats Sevigny with his first and then immediately needs oxygen!!!! Peter Lee ties it again with his 5th of the year and before the red light stops Gustafsson gets his 2nd from Stastny and Christan and Brookly leads 3-2

2nd- No scoring in the second

3rd- Marcel Dionne score 30 seconds in to tie it with his 3rd. But then the wheels come off as Harris scores and the Talafous. Tony McKegney pulls the Birds within 1 as he gets his seconds but Sutter shuts the dor 40 seconds later with his 4th

BROOKLYN 6 FIREBIRDS 4

Weekly Summary: Philly picks up 2 points a bitter pill for a team looking for more. Worse they gave up 10 goals as the tandem they though would be the best in the league struggles.
Silk City Wales
Weekly Preview: The Whales have one game on the home schedule this week, a battle against the Dynamo. Charlotte’s high-scoring offense will be hard to keep in check, especially with their mobile defense bringing the play.
Charlotte Dynamo @ Silk City Wales A tight game gives way to a free-for-all in the rhird period as Charlotte scores four straight goals to blwo things open and beat the Whales 6-3. Tony Esposito stops 31 of 34 shots for the Dynamo and adds an assist.

1st Star – Charlie Simer (CHD), G, 2A
2nd Star – Ian Turnbull (CHD), G, A
3rd Star – Mike Rogers (CHD), G, +3

Weekly Summary: A disappointing week for the Whales, as they allow six even strength goals against Charlotte. Mario Lessard is wondering what he did to deserve the myriad of odd man rushes he faced in the third period.
Charlestown Chiefs
Weekly Preview: Chiefs have 3 home games this week, including a visit from #99.
Saskatoon Cyclone @ Charlestown Chiefs Gretzky (4) wastes no time in making an impression on the home fans, scoring just 76 seconds into the game. Lanny McDonald (1) scores his first of the year on the PP at 13:40 to tie it up at 1-1.

At 5:51 of the 2nd, Andre Savard (5) continues his torrid start, but then Saskatoon scores two goals about two minutes apart; adding insult to injury, it’s the first goal of the season for both Gainey and Rota.

At 19:16 of the 2nd, Paul Gardner (3) begins his statement, scoring the first of his three goals for the hat trick and showing Gretzky that maybe he isn’t all that.

The floodgates open in the 3rd, as Charlestown piles on 5 goals against Vachon – who’s eventually pulled for Lemelin as the Chiefs pummel Saskatoon 8-3. The Saskatoon defense (I use that term loosely) had no answer for the Chief onslaught – even knocking Paul Coffey and Tom McCarthy out of the game didn’t matter. It did however prevent McCarthy from having the opportunity to match Gardner’s hat trick. Bastages.

Weekly Summary: Three home games, six points – with a pair of blowouts and a tight checking game. The Chiefs go to 6-1 on the season and the fans are staring to believe.
Brooklyn Harbor Rats
Weekly Preview: only one home game in Brooklyn this week, but it’s a family affair as Silk City comes to town. The Rats went 0 fer vs. the Whales last season, still seeking their first win over family.
Silk City Wales A pair of Mike Gartner goals has Brooklyn up 3-1 before Salming and Turnbull even things up for the visitors early in the final period. Gustafsson snaps the tie for the Rats but the crowd can’t rest in a one goal game until Stastny scores with less than 3 minutes remaining to seal our first win over Silk City. Harbor Rats 6, Whales 3.
Weekly Summary: nice to get your first win over your (barely) younger cousin
Charlotte Dynamo
Weekly Preview: Charlotte hosted the Pittsburgh Spirit in its lone home game during this early stretch, on October 23, 1980. For you baseball fans in the league, this game was played two days after the Mike Schmidt/Tug McGraw Philadelphia Phillies captured the franchise’s first world championship by defeating the George Brett led Kansas City Royals. Yours truly was curious and looked it up 🙂
Pittsburgh Spirit @ Charlotte Dynamo Pittsburgh 6 Charlotte 5
In an absolutely wild affair, the Spirit, which never trailed, scored the first four goals of the contest in 6:44 of play to knock out Tony Esposito early — then survived Charlie Simmer’s second period hat trick to hold on for the victory. Guy Lafleur scored two Spirit goals in that early rampage, with the latter of the two providing the early 4-0 lead and ending Esposito’s evening in favor of Larry Lozinski. Charlotte’s Simmer then recorded the hat trick on tjree consecutive goals which was followed up by line mate Glenn Anderson’s first goal of the season 14:08 into the second period, that knotted things up at four. Pittsburgh’s Daryl Sittler, on a torrid early season start to the season, scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season, sandwiched around a Dynamo Jean Ratelle goal that had tied the game at 5. Sittler’s game winner came on the power play 3:43 in the third and from there, Rich St. Croix (36 saves) shut down the Dynamo the rest of the way. Pittsburgh prevailed despite being more than doubled in shots on goal by Charlotte, 41-20.
Weekly Summary: With the loss, Charlotte failed to reach .500, as early defensive woes offset some early indications of Dynamo firepower as the season commences.
Saint Clair Shores Saints
Weekly Preview: The Saints have one home game this week and take on Syracuse.
Syracuse Bulldogs @ Saint Clair Shores Saints The Saints get off to a good start. Duguay and McClanahan score at 1:08 and 3:07. But, the Bulldogs respond with two of their own from Hill and Johnstone.

Then, Ftorek and Babych score 2 goals for the Shores and they are up 4-2. Smyl scores a goal and its now 4-3, the Saints. 7 goals were scored in the 1st period. Whew

In the 2nd, Hill scores for the Bulldogs to tie it.

In the 3rd, on a power play, the Bulldogs get Higgins’ 2nd goal for the game winner. Syracuse wins a narrow one.

Syracuse 5 St. Clair Shores 4

1st star – Hill 2 goals
2nd star – Smyl 1 goal; 1 assist
3rd star – Johnstone 1 goal

Weekly Summary: Syracuse defeats St. Clair Shores 5-4.
New Castle Ducks
Weekly Preview: New Castle, off to a slow start in their inaugural season, has three home games this week: against Philadelphia, Chicago and Silk City
Philadelphia Firebirds @ New Castle Ducks Marcel Dionne and the Firebirds were too much for the Ducks as Dionne scored two power play goals in the third period to break a 2-2 tie and give Philly the win at The Duck Pond. The Ducks scored first on a goal by defenseman Lanz. In the second period, Philly took a 2-1 lead only to see Ryan Walter tie it for the Ducks at 15:42. That set the stage for Dionne whose goals were his 3rd and 4th of the season.
FINAL SCORE: PHI 4 NEW 2

#2 Star- McKegney PHI 1G, 2 A
#3 Star- Siltanen PHI 1G, 1 ADon Beaupre made 40 saves for the Firebirds as the Ducks outshot Philadelphia 42-29
Chicago Underground @ New Castle Ducks FINAL SCORE: New Castle 6 Chicago 3

The usually low scoring Ducks score three in the second period to take a 3-0 lead and hold on for the win in a wild third period. After Rick Middleton’s second goal of the game and fourth of the season put New Castle up 4-0 with a little over 10 minutes left in the game, Chicago came to life. Mike Bossy (6) and Eaves (2) scored to make it 4-2 with 2:27 remaining. Yvan Lambert then got a huge goal (2) for the Ducks to put the lead back to 3 goals at 5-2. The teams traded goals in the final minute with the Ducks goal coming on an empty net.
The Ducks lost two defensemen to injuries (Lanz and Schoenfeld) and played much of the game with only four very tired defensemen

STARS:
#1 NEW Middleton 2G 1 A
#2 NEW Kasper 2 G
#3 NEW Clarke 1G, 2 A
Billy Smith made 31 saves for the Ducks as the Underground had the shot advantage 34-32.

Silk City Wales @ New Castle Ducks The Ducks blow a 4-1 lead in the last 5 minutes and end up in a 4-4 tie with the Whales. Red hot Rick Middleton opened the scoring with his 5th goal of the year, in the first period, to put New Castle ahead 1-0. The Ducks added two more first period goals, by Yvan Vautour (1) and Bobby Clarke (4) to make it 3-0 before Lindgren scored (1) for Silk City as the first period ended at 3-1 in favor of the Ducks.
In the second period Bobby Clarke scored his 2d goal of the game (5) to make it 4-1 after two periods.
The game stayed that way through most of the third period until Rick Kehoe (3) scored with 5:14 to go. That goal fired up the visiting Underground as Bob Bourne scored at 18:27, from Kehoe and Messier to make it 4-3. With the Ducks going into a defensive shell, the Whales shocked them and the sellout home crowd when Larry Murphy put the puck behind Ducks goalie Bunny Larocque to tie the game at 4-4 with 1:06 left on the clock.
FINAL SCORE New Castle 4 Silk City 4STARS:
#1 NEW Clarke 2G 1 A
#2 SCW Murphy 1G 1A
#3 SCW Kehoe 1G 1 A
Mark Messier of Silk City won 16 faceoffs as the Whales won 38 of 64 against a Ducks team that usually has the edge in that category. Three of the Ducks goals were on the power play as was one of Silk City’s.
Weekly Summary: New Castle goes 1-1-1 for the week at home. The Ducks offense picked it up somewhat but the defense almost blew a big lead against Chicago and then did blow a big lead against Silk City. Coach Raylesberg will have to tighten up the defense while also trying to keep the offense moving in a positive direction. Rick Middleton and Bobby Clarke are proving to be a potent combination on New Castle’s #1 line.
Mackinac Island Moose
Weekly Preview: Big 3 game homestand for the Moose. Chicago, St. Clair Shores and Charlotte come to the Island. The Moose are looking for their first home win of the season after managing only one point at home the first 2 home games.
Chicago Underground @ Mackinac Island Moose Moose 8, Underground 3 – The Underground are held to only 4 shots on goal in the 1st, while the Moose get 5 in the net (Kurri, Propp, Boudreau, Lysiak, Park). Chicago answers with a goal early in the 2nd on a powerplay, only to have the Moose chuck 3 more in the goal in the next 5 minutes. Chicago pulls Astrom after the 7th. Peeters holds the Moose to just one goal in the last 30 minutes, while Wesley and Stastny tally for the visitors.
1st star – Propp 2g1a
2nd Boutette 1g2a
3rd Napier 1g2a
Saint Clair Shores Saints @ Mackinac Island Moose Moose 4, Saints 1 – The Saints were anything but, as Ramage and Thompson both earn 10 minute misconduct penalties in this one. The Moose, meanwhile, tally 2 unanswered goals in the first, Dunlop EV and Dupont on the power play. The Saints retaliate in the 2nd with a powerplay goal (Kelly) of their own to cut the lead to 1. The game stays at the one point differential until the 3rd when Ferguson and Dupont score goals 19 seconds apart to make the lead 3 with just under 4 minutes left.
Big SOG differential with 51 for the Moose, 18 for the Saints.
1st star – Dupont 2g
2nd Dunlop 1g1a
3rd Ferguson 1g
Liut 47 saves
Charlotte Dynamo @ Mackinac Island Moose Moose 2, Dynamo 0 – The Moose outshoot the Dynamo 36-17 and Meloche is perfect in goal to make the 2 goals (Barber, Propp) stand up. Esposito with 34 saves that normally would have been a winning effort.
1st star – Meloche – 17 saves shutout
2nd – Propp 1g
3rd – Barber 1g
Weekly Summary: Nice bounceback week for the Moose with 3 wins. The Moose outscore their opponents by a combined 14-4 goal diff. Propp with 3 goals and 4 pts, Dunlop with 4 assists and 5 points. Meloche a shutout.
Ohio Legends
Weekly Preview: The Ohio Legends square off against two of the premier teams in the OTWHL this week in Mackinaw Island and Philadelphia.
Mackinac Island Moose @ Ohio Legends Mackinaw Island 3, Cincinnati 0

The physical nature of the game backfired on Ohio, as mackinaw Island scored on two of the five man-advantage situations. Blake Dunlop collected a goal and assist for the winners, while Giles Meloche turned aside 24 shots in the victory.

Jim Rutherford stopped 19 shots and Ohio had two fights and 22 penalty minutes in the loss.

Philadelphia Firebirds @ Ohio Legends Philadelphia 3, Ohio 1

Tony McKegney had two goals and Marcel Dionne assisted on each of the goals for the Firebirds. Richard Sevigny stopped 22 shots in taking the win.

Paul Woods scored the lone marker for the Legends, as Jim Rutherford stopped 24 shots.

Weekly Summary: Ohio’s lack of depth in the goaltending department was evident and a team devoid of scoring was exposed. It will be a long season for the Legends if this continues.
CapJack Rangers
Weekly Preview: Rangers off to a very slow start – no wins in week 1 and this week face thorn in the side Vermont and the undefeated team from Chicago…
Vermont Foresters @ CapJack Rangers Two CapJack penalties lead to PP goals from Vail (in the 1st) and Nilsson (in the 2nd) as the Foresters jump to a 2-0 lead. Trottier finally gets a biscuit in the basket and then Robinson follows suit as the Rangers tie it up before the 2nd period horn sounds.
3rd Period however sees Vermont regaining the 2 goal advantage with Lukowich and Foligno score – the 2nd goal with just under 8 minutes to go. Game continues as struggle for the home team but then Trottier wins a faceoff in the Vermont end – to Shutt via Gare and back to Trottier for the wrap around and it’s 4-3 with 3:04 to go. Subsequent center ice faceoff won by DeBlois, Rangers ground in their end and work it up. Puck goes to Shutt, he skates up ice, cross the blue line, passes to Deblois – shoots – SCORES! Tie game as Shutt and Schutt set him up – but Shutt leaves the ice with a hand injury. 8 SECONDS between goals – but from then on no one gets one in the net and it ends up a 4-4 tie and the Rangers are still winless. Game was fairly even except in the shot category where the Rangers were way up on the Foresters.
STARS:
1. CAP – Trottier 2 goals
2. VER – Nilsson 1 goal, 2 assists
3. VER – Vail 1 goal, 1 assist
Long and Tookey were injured and lost for the game.
Chicago Underground @ CapJack Rangers The high flying Underground storm in the the Garden and waste absolutely no time building a huge lead. Stastny nets a PP goal 4 and 1/2 minutes in. Then he tallies a 2nd goal a minute 1/2 later and Seiling makes it 3-0 with 10 1/2 minutes to go in the 1st. Then the Rangers wake up and Cloutier scors with 5 to go, Shutt makes it 3-2 a minute and a half later and the period ends 3-2 Chicago. The teams trade 29 SOG in the 1st (Chi with 16) for a wild wide-open event.
2nd period things settle down but Dudley scores with 3 to go to tie up the game heading into the final period.
3rd Period Chicago tries to help the home effort when Foster goes off at 3:14 for hooking -but the Underground squelch the Ranger Power Play. Game continues with no more scoring and the Underground again get generous when Lorimer is whistled for tripping with 4 to go. During the PP Goring gets it for Chicago, takes it through the neutral zone and passes it to Foster as they work to set up the SH goal, but Long checks him into the boards, Rangers have it – Chicago picks a rough time for a line change – Cloutier has it deep in the Chicago end in the corner – wins it, gets it to MacMillan who wrists one INTO the Chicago net and the Rangers take a 4-3 lead. Chicago then works to apply pressure but can’t until the final minute – then with their goalie riding the bench it an all out assault. Bossy shots high – blocked by Robinson. Savard to Mondou – shoots – Gare blocks it. Robinson gains control but Savard knocks him down along the wall – here they come on a 2 on 1, Persson to Bossy – shoots – Bouchard with the glove save. Bossy regains it – to Mondou – fires away but Lapointe blocks it. Scramble for the puck, Gare gets it forced to clear but Chicago keeps it from going out of the zone with 5 seconds … but they can’t get off a shot and the Rangers finally win one as they knock off the (at the time) unbeaten Chicago Underground 4-3.
STARS:
1. CHI – Stasny 2 goals
2. CAP – Cloutier 1 goal, 1 assist
3. CAP – MacMillan 1 goal
Weekly Summary: Well the Rangers break into the win column finally going 1-0-1 for the week’s homestand and garnering 3 points and did it against formidable opposition.
Columbus Owls
Weekly Preview: The Owls play 3 home game in this series of action
Ohio Legends @ Columbus Owls Ohio broke a 1-1 tie with a pair of secon period goals and rolled to a 4-1 win. Tiger Williams provided the
game winner with a power play goal with 4:44 left in the second period. The Owls outshot Ohio 44-16 in the contest.1st star Mio
2nd star Federko
3rd star Williams
Syracuse Bulldogs @ Columbus Owls Columbus rallied from a 3-1 3rd period deficit to gain a 3-3 tie. Jim Fox cut the lead to 3-2 and then Wayne Merrick lit the lamp with 5:17 remaining to salvage the tie. Michel Goulet had the other Owls goal and added an assist while Reed Larson scored twice for Syracuse.

1st star Larson
2nd star Goulet
3rd star Merrick

Vermont Foresters @ Columbus Owls Vermont blitzed Columbus with 4 first period goals and easily won 5-2. Kent Nilsson had a hat trick for the winners and Mark Howe assisted on all 3 of his goals.

1st star Nilsson
2nd star Howe
3rd star Gorance

Weekly Summary: Tough session for Columbus earning only 1 point in 3 games. Goalie appears to be a weak spot, although not all together surprising.
Pittsburgh Spirit
Weekly Preview: 2nd week, we hope for better than 1-1-2. 3 home games. Let’s do this.
CapJack Rangers @ Pittsburgh Spirit Division rival CapJack comes to town haven’t not yet won a game. Today is no different as the Spirit moves to a 8-4 win. The highlight was a 7 goal 2nd period between the two teams. Mattsson was pretty terrible. Bouchard came in and gave CapJack a chance, but Resch held up when it counted.
Brooklyn Harbor Rats @ Pittsburgh Spirit LOTS of roughing and a fight as Brooklyn brawls, but Pittsburgh scores. 4-1 Pittsburgh win.
Saint Clair Shores Saints @ Pittsburgh Spirit Saint Clair Shores comes to the Burgh to try to stop the Spirit train from a’rollin’ but… they fail as the Spirit win handily 5-1 behind stellar goaltending by Resch and a hat trick by newcomer Pettersson. Here is to hoping he has found his sea legs.
Weekly Summary: 3 home games, 3 wins. Much better than the two ties last week. The defending champs look like a Cup hangover is not gonna happen… at least in the 2nd week. Week 3 it could all fall apart, which is what makes this game so awesome.
